Jess and Steves wedding couldn’t have been more beautiful, down-to-earth and relaxed with summer temperatures on that perfect Saturday in May. Llyn Gwynant Barns and Campsite truly reflected their personalities and what their all about: the Outdoors.
The day started with a super relaxed morning of Jess getting ready with her bridesmaids in her cottage after running her local park run with her bridesmaids and a veil.
In the meantime Steve spent the morning jumping into a cold lake with his best men - by the way - he didn’t have one best man. There was 6 of them. :)
Both looked absolutely adorable. Jess wearing a super relaxed vintage dress right out of fairytale. Steve and his best men were showing off their best Scottish kilts - all having a common Scottish past together studying and living in Glasgow for a few years.
1pm: Guests arrive at the wonderful LLyn Gwynant Barns, the venue where they would tie the knot and spend the rest of the day with all their loved ones. Llyn Gwynant is probably on my top3 favourites of place to get married in Snowdonia. Surrounded my mountains in a secluded place right next to a big lake - what else do you need for your beautiful North Wales outdoor wedding? For me as a wedding videographer this place is an absolute paradise for sure. Jess and Steves ceremony was a very special one. Their friend, the wonderful Eve Goodman opened the ceremony with her lovely voice and guitar tunes, Jess’ mum and a friend did two lovely readings. Both Jess and Steve prepared their own personal vows, which made me tear-up (actually I cried :D). However, I had to discipline myself and keep the camera stable while moving around to capture those special moments for them.
The afternoon was super relaxed. While Clive their amazing photographer and I spent a little while with Jess and Steve by the lake and in the surrounding hills of the national park for a few shots, the guests mingled outside enjoying the amazing summery weather. The afternoon tea and speeches led into the evening celebrations filled with a lot of dancing as they had hired a Caleidh band which was another highlight. A Caleidh is always a great idea. :)
Jess and Steves circle of friends and family are very active and outdoorsy, so most of their guests ended up crashing in their tents on the campsite by the lake after a day full of emotions, dancing and vitamin D.
